What Companies Really Measure
If you want to understand a company, don’t listen to what it says.
Look at what it measures.
Many companies talk about:
- “best practices”
- “lean”
- “agile”
But what they actually measure is simple:
How much time you spend being “productive”.
Which often means:
- no time for experiments
- no time for improvements
- no time for better engineering practices
And then everyone wonders why nothing really changes.
